Military Members Get Free Access To National Parks

POSTED: 4:12 pm MDT May 15, 2012U.S. Senator Jon Tester and Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar announced that active duty military will get free passes to America's national parks?America the Beautiful? passes normally cost $80, now they'll be free for anyone serving our country.The pass allows one personal vehicle access to any federally operated recreation site across the U.S.Tester says the free pass is a good way to thank the people who serve.?Now hard working folks in the military will be able to enjoy Montana parks like Glacier and Yellowstone, without having to worry about the costs,? he said.The pass will be available to active duty military members and their dependents starting on May 19th. Members can use the pass at 55 locations across Montana, and several others across the country.For more information on the passes click here.
