NEWARK, N.J. ? In the 2012 NBA Draft, Kansas Jayhawks junior forward Thomas Robinson was selected 5th overall by the Sacramento Kings.
Robinson was a First Team All-American his junior season, averaging 17.7 points and 11.9 rebounds a game. The 6-9 power forward led the Jayhawks to the National Championship Game, and was a finalist for National Player of the Year.
Kentucky Wildcats freshman center and National Player of the Year Anthony Davis was selected 1st overall by the New Orleans Hornets. His teammate, forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, went 2nd overall to the Charlotte Bobcats.
The two fab freshman helped defeat Robinson?s Jayhawks in the National Championship Game.
